After 6 years with the 10 year anniversary patch, a return to the original patch design was decided. In fact, after discussion, an entirely new patch was designed and introduced on playing kit. The playing kit saw a change as well. Introduced for the 1st time on game kits - the tricolor 3" stripes jersey. They were used in the fall campaign. The old style jersey (emerald body with white and blue hoop across the middle) replaced the beaten B's. 4/11 Lake County 26-4, 13-0 4/18 UIC 13-29, 5-24 4/25 Northwest Indiana 0-19, 12-15 5/2 Illinois State Ken Carlson's 1st game 5/9 Southside Irish 5/16 U of Chicago 7-10, 34-0 Teamed up with NW Indiana to have 5/30 Nat Coll Chiropractic 40-10, 24-0 9/5 Cedar Rapids 0-25 26 travelled to Dubuque Tourney Iowa Falls 7-12 B side fell in day's 2nd match 9/12 Lincoln Park 3-52, 14-5 LP No. 8 Nottoli laid at PFC 9/19 Springfield 27-25, 10-12 Tough home win 9/25 Newton 10-5 C.R. With 97 active and social members in the spring, the club was quite healthy. On the field, the training regiment of Coach Mike Foster had one of the fittest sides since Tom Beck was coaching. Fielded two sides at quite a few games and recruiting of some young players turned out a fair number of warm bodies. Dues for veterans during this year was $45 per season. In the brief time before CIPP's came along, Rockford dues were quite low by league standards.
The Raven Open on 8/22 was the usual romp. After the drunken golfing everyone saw Doug "Kermit" Wallace have his bachelor party.
